How Our Services Work
Customer Portals That Create Revenue
How a branded customer portal turns your owned infrastructure into a revenue channel — self-serve booking, quotes, and payments your customers use directly.
Most of what infrastructure does is save you time. A customer portal does something different: it creates revenue. When your customers can book, request a quote, check an order, or pay you directly through a branded surface that runs on your own systems, you open a channel that works while you sleep — and you own the channel, not a platform that rents it back to you.
This is the revenue-creation side of your infrastructure. The operations layer runs the business; the customer portal turns that same data into a front door your customers use themselves.
What a Customer Portal Actually Is
A customer portal is a branded, self-serve surface — on your domain, in your brand — connected to the same infrastructure your team uses. It is not a separate product you rent. It reads from and writes to your operations layer, so what a customer does on the portal is what your team sees in the dashboard, instantly.
- Self-serve booking and requests. Customers book an appointment, request a quote, or start an order without calling, texting, or waiting for business hours.
- Order and project visibility. A customer checks the status of a job, an order, or a delivery without anyone pulling it up for them.
- Direct payment. Invoices and deposits are paid through the portal and reconciled against your records — no separate payment app, no manual matching.
- One identity across channels. A customer who books on the portal, messages on WhatsApp, and walks in is one record — not three.
Why This Is Revenue Creation, Not Just Convenience
Most tools you pay for reduce cost: less manual work, fewer mistakes, faster cycles. A customer portal is on the other side of the ledger — it adds a way for money to come in.
| Capability | Rented Booking Tool | Owned Customer Portal |
|---|---|---|
| Runs on your domain and brand | Partial | Yes |
| Connected to your live operations data | No | Yes |
| Captures booking, status, and payment in one flow | No | Yes |
| One customer identity across every channel | No | Yes |
| Qualifying custom IP ownership from subscription month 13 | No | Yes |
A booking link you rent sends customers off to someone else's platform, on someone else's domain, with the data living somewhere you don't control. A customer portal keeps the transaction — and the customer relationship — inside infrastructure you own.
How It Works Day to Day
Customer self-serves
A customer books, requests a quote, or starts an order on your branded portal — at 11 PM, on a Sunday, without calling. The request lands in your operations layer immediately.Your AI team drafts the response
AI Agents draft the confirmation, the quote, or the next step — pulling availability, pricing, and history from your Company Brain. The draft waits in your approval queue. You approve, the customer is served
HUMAN APPROVED
Your team reviews the draft, adjusts anything, and approves. The customer gets a confirmed booking or a quote — and a record of the whole exchange lives in infrastructure you own.
Note
The flow above illustrates a configured approval workflow. Tool permissions and approvals remain in place. If CNX manages agreed delivery, CNX remains responsible for the work and its quality; client business decisions do not replace that responsibility.
Where Customer Portals Fit
Portal access, custom integration and managed operation are different responsibilities. Confirm supported workflows and integration scope for your plan. Marketing Support carries out an agreed marketing plan; Marketing Leadership adds direction and coordinated execution. A plan name does not imply every bespoke integration is included.
CNX remains accountable for agreed delivery using specialists, tools and AI agents. You approve budgets, contracts, production proofs and material changes. Platform controls still apply to tool actions.
Ownership and year two
Qualifying customer-specific custom IP ownership starts in subscription month 13. Agree the transferable inventory, retained platform components, third-party dependencies and handoff process. The same plan stays at the same price in year two. You may stay, choose a lower plan or leave with transferable work; CNX maintenance ends on departure.
