How Our Services Work
Own the Management Layer - Not Just Access to a Model
Understand business-specific AI configuration, the difference between tool access and managed delivery, and qualifying custom IP ownership from subscription month 13.
The management layer is the configuration that makes tools and AI models useful for your business: connections to systems, business rules, permitted actions and relevant context. It is distinct from the underlying model, compute provider or shared platform.
What you are choosing
Access to a tool lets you use its supported capabilities. A custom implementation configures or builds work for your business. Managed delivery means CNX takes responsibility for agreed work.
These choices carry different scopes. Grove has its own product journey. Product access does not automatically commission custom work or ask CNX to operate it for you.
CNX's responsibility
CNX coordinates specialists, tools and AI agents and remains accountable for agreed delivery. Marketing Support carries out an agreed plan; Marketing Leadership adds direction and priorities.
You provide business context and approve budgets, contracts, production proofs and material business changes. Agent permissions and authority still constrain which actions tools can take.
What ownership means
Ownership of qualifying customer-specific custom IP starts in month 13 of the subscription. The trigger is not the completion date of a build.
Agree the inventory of qualifying custom work, retained platform components, third-party licenses and provider dependencies. A business-specific configuration does not mean you own the underlying AI model or every shared platform component.
Open standards can help integrations, but do not guarantee that every configuration can move between providers unchanged. Confirm the dependencies and handoff process for your engagement.
Costs and choices after month 13
In year two, the same plan continues at the same price. You may stay, choose a lower plan or leave with your transferable work. CNX maintenance ends on departure.
Owning custom IP does not remove hosting, provider usage, licensing or maintenance costs that your systems depend on. Understand those costs before deciding who will operate the work.
