Getting Started
What Is Build-to-Own?
Custom work with qualifying customer-specific IP ownership starting in subscription month 13, plus the costs and choices that remain.
Build-to-Own is CNX's approach to customer-specific custom work. Ownership of qualifying custom IP starts in month 13 of the subscription. It does not mean you own the underlying CNX platform or every third-party dependency.
What you commission
Agree the work you need and the scope CNX will deliver. CNX coordinates specialists, tools and AI agents and remains accountable for agreed delivery.
Foundation establishes your brand, website and core systems. Marketing Support carries out an agreed marketing plan. Marketing Leadership adds direction, priorities and coordinated execution. Business Partnership and Custom involve separately scoped conversations.
Tool access is a different purchase from custom implementation or managed delivery. Grove has its own product journey.
What ownership means
Agree the transferable inventory, retained platform components, third-party licenses and handoff process. Ownership starts in subscription month 13, rather than being timed from build completion.
In year two, the same plan continues at the same price. You can stay, choose a lower plan or leave with your transferable work. CNX maintenance ends on departure. Ownership and a departure handoff are separate decisions.
Compare the full scope and cost
The monthly fee and separate kickoff invoice cover agreed responsibilities. Provider and usage charges, advertising spend, and supplier or production costs are separate. Compare your actual needs and costs; ownership is not a promise of lower total cost or independent operation without dependencies.
