Use Cases
Connected Spaces for Retail
How retailers unify online and in-store inventory, customer data, and procurement into owned infrastructure — alongside the store and POS you already use.
Your Shopify store and your in-store POS are two separate inventory counts. Your vendor relationships live in email. Your customer data is split across platforms. Connected Spaces builds the operations layer your retail business is missing around the tools you already have — with qualifying custom IP ownership starting in subscription month 13.
The Three Problems That Cost You Revenue
Online and In-Store Inventory Disconnected
A customer sees a product as in stock on your Shopify store, drives to your location, and it's gone. Your online and in-store systems don't share inventory data, creating customer disappointment and manual reconciliation work every week. Slow movers sit on shelves tying up cash while fast movers sell out unexpectedly.
No Unified Customer View
A customer who shops online and in-store appears as two different people in your data. You can't see their full purchase history, their lifetime value, or which channel they prefer. Personalized marketing is impossible when the customer picture is fragmented across platforms that were never designed to talk to each other.
Reordering Is Still Manual
Reorder decisions are made by walking the floor or checking a spreadsheet. There is no system watching stock levels against sales velocity and telling you when to reorder what. You're guessing — and the consequences show up as empty shelves or capital tied up in inventory that isn't moving.
How Connected Infrastructure Solves Each Problem
One view of sales and stock. Your store and POS stay exactly as they are. We can build a single view of stock and sales that your team keeps current, and a check for when two systems disagree on a count, built inside your plan. Shopify, Square, Lightspeed and Clover all give us a way in; the link is part of the Business Partnership plan.*
Supplier management with structured purchasing. Manage your vendor relationships in a structured system. Send RFQs, compare bids, and log every purchase against a cost ledger. Set reorder triggers so your team is alerted before stock runs out. Your existing vendor relationships stay intact — we build the system around them. AI Agents draft the bid comparison; you award the order.
Google Ads and local visibility, connected to your data. Your marketing specialist manages your Google Ads campaigns, optimizing for your highest-margin products and local traffic. We work inside your own ad accounts and read the results, so you can see what the ad spend is doing.
Day in the Life: The Friday Reorder That Runs Itself
It's Thursday evening. This is an illustrative example of what a plan can include, not a standing feature of every plan. Here is how it could go without anyone touching a spreadsheet.
cnx-operations compares the sales and stock figures your team provides. Two products are approaching reorder thresholds — one faster-moving than the weekly average suggests.
Supplier request drafted. For each product, cnx-operations drafts a structured reorder request to your preferred supplier, pre-populated with your standard quantities and delivery window. Both requests are queued for review — nothing sends on its own.
Morning approval. Friday morning, you open the approvals queue. Review both requests, adjust one quantity, confirm both. Orders are placed by 8:30 AM. Stock arrives Monday. You didn't walk the floor Thursday night.
cnx-operations is set up by expert humans with limits on what it can see and do. A person approves anything consequential, and there is a way to stop it.
We Work Around Your Systems. We Don't Replace Them.
Your online store (Shopify), your in-store POS (Square), and your vendors stay as they are. We don't rebuild your store or migrate your POS. We build the operations layer around them; a link to a store, POS or accounting tool (QuickBooks, Xero) is part of the Business Partnership plan.* Qualifying customer-specific custom IP ownership starts in subscription month 13. Agree the transferable inventory, dependencies and handoff process.
* Some tools take longer and need a workaround. Connecting your tools is part of the Business Partnership plan. Tool names belong to their owners; naming one means we can work with it, not that they endorse or certify us. See what we connect.
Ownership and support choices
The same plan stays at the same price in year two. You may stay, choose a lower plan or leave with transferable work; CNX maintenance ends on departure. Agree the custom inventory, retained platform components, dependencies and handoff process. CNX remains accountable for agreed delivery; client business approvals and configured tool controls are separate.
